THE CORRECT WAY OF WRITING DATES ©® Santosh Kumar - Bhutan Often we neglect to write dates correctly. It so falls out because we are carefree about life or we don't bother about correctness. WRONG WAYS OF WRITING DATES 1. 20/12/2019 2. 20-12-2019 3. 20.12.2019 4. 20th December  2019 5. December 20th, 2019 All the formats given above are incorrect. Some of the reasons are explained as below: A. 20/12/2019 This type of writing date is incorrect because the main function of  slash (/) Is to state "or" when we try to offer options. By composing in this form we are actually trying to say 20 or 12 or 2019 like an option in any Multiple Choice Questions. Thus, avoid using in this form. B. 20-12-2019 The use of hyphens (-) Or minus (-) while writing date is incorrect.
